Research Interests
Dr. Zahid, Texas A&M AgriLife Research assistant professor of controlled-environment agriculture engineering, joined the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University in August 2021 after completing his doctorate in agricultural and biological engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence and robotics at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Zahid’s lab’s mission is to provide engineering solutions for CEA. Current research focuses on precision agriculture technologies including edge-AI systems, robotics, computer vision, and automation, applied towards the autonomy of the CEA facilities.
