His research interests include sustainable agriculture, water resource management, climate mitigation and adaptation, and the application of models to optimize agricultural practices for a sustainable environment. Currently, Dr. Srivastava is involved in cutting-edge research topics such as the measurements and modelling of methane emissions from agricultural cropping systems and hydroinformatics in groundwater management. His work not only addresses critical environmental challenges but also aims to develop practical solutions for farmers and policymakers. In recognition of his contributions, he serves as a guest editor for prestigious journals including Frontiers in Agronomy, Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems, and Water Supply, IWA.
