Bill Thomas, President, Thomas Engineering and BAEN Class of ‘81 operates an engineering consulting firm based in Corpus Christi specializing in energy management, negotiating large electrical power supply contracts in the ERCOT market, and demand control for large power users during the peak months of the year. While a student at A&M, Bill was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and a Cadet Lt. Colonel of the Artillery Band. After receiving his BS degree in Agricultural Engineering (BAEN), Bill worked for Central Power & Light in Corpus Christi as an Industrial Engineer and then as Regional Manager of Commercial & Industrial Sales before moving to TXU Energy in 2001. In 2006, Bill took advantage of the regulatory changes and industry disruption brought by electric deregulation and retail choice in Texas to start his own consulting firm offering electric power and energy consulting services to his clients. Bill has been named to the Aggie 100 and serves on the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department’s External Advisory Board.
