NEW! Parnell Faculty Fellowship Created
An endowed fund to create the Dr. Calvin B. Parnell Faculty Fellowship in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department has been established by the Wesson Family Foundation. David Wesson, AGEN ’82, wanted to honor Dr. Calvin Parnell, who was an important mentor to David as an undergraduate. The Wesson Family Foundation entered into an agreement with the Texas A&M Foundation to make gifts that establish the Parnell Faculty Fellowship as well as a Wesson Family Foundation Matching Fund. 2019 Career Connections Mixer
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering held its annual Career Connections Mixer, an event aimed at increasing the networking opportunities between current students and departmental former students. The event is organized as a type of “speed-networking” social where students get to speak to alumni about their experience in the department and the path taken after graduation. New Biological and Agricultural Engineering Class Fosters Entrepreneurship
Texas A&M University students interested in starting their own business can now learn from former students through the new agricultural entrepreneurship class offered each spring. The Brock Faulkner Entrepreneurship in Agriculture Lecture Series in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering is in its first semester and counts toward the entrepreneurship minor offered at Texas A&M.
